Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Job Description

Position Summary:
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The CNA helps patients with daily living activities and ensures comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure)
• Help patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Assist with toileting and incontinence care
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
